To get started, simply move your mouse to aim your billiard cue, and click and drag to set your shot power. Release the mouse button to take your shot. If you see arrow icons around the cue ball, that means you can click and drag on the ball to move it - this only happens when you’re breaking or when your opponent makes a mistake.
TIP: Want to add some spin to your shot? Click on the cue ball icon at the top of the screen to adjust the spin!
Now, let’s talk about the rules. We’re playing by WPA rules, which means we’ll follow a standard set of guidelines to ensure a fun and fair game. Here’s a quick rundown:
- After the break, players are assigned solids or stripes based on the first ball they pot.
- If you pot one of your own balls or an opponent’s ball on your turn, you get another shot - as long as you didn’t make a mistake!
- If you commit a foul (like potting the cue ball or missing a shot), your opponent gets to take the cue ball and shoot anywhere on the table.
- If you pot an opponent’s ball on your turn, play passes to them.
- When you’ve potted all your solids or stripes, you need to pot the black 8 ball to win. But remember, if you pot the 8 ball before your other balls, you’ll automatically lose!
